Preparing young adults for real life.

S.T.A.R. - Successful Training of Adult Responsibilities

S.T.A.R. — Successful Training of Adult Responsibilities — was created to help young people confidently transition into adulthood by equipping them with practical life skills rarely taught in traditional classrooms.

As a student with dyslexia, I learned early that success is not about perfection—it is about persistence. Challenges in reading, organization, and communication taught me resilience, responsibility, and self-advocacy. Those experiences shaped the foundation of S.T.A.R. and continue to inspire my mission today.

When I moved fourteen hours away from home at eighteen years old and became responsible for my finances, health, schedule, and future, I realized many young adults face adulthood without the tools needed to succeed.

S.T.A.R. exists to bridge that gap. The Five Pillars of S.T.A.R.:

  1. Finances: Budgeting, credit, saving and understanding money basics.
  2. Career: Resume building, interview skills, workplace professionalism and long-term planning.
  3. Self-Care: Mental health, stress management and sustainable routines.
  4. Relationships: Communication skills, boundaries and healthy connections.
  5. Health: Physical wellness, preventative care and lifelong habits.
